Royal Rumble '96 Rebooked

1. The Smoking Gunns def. Yokozuna & Owen Hart (c) when Billy Gunn rolled up Owen Hart after Hart mistakingly hit Yokozuna with a flying roundhouse kick.  (for the World Tag Team Championships).  After the match, Owen Hart and the British Bulldog attacked Yokozuna, but Yokozuna recovered and cleared Hart & Bulldog from the ring

2. Jerry "The King" Lawler def. Jake "The Snake" Roberts after Lawler hit Roberts with a large champagne bottle

3. Goldust def. Razor Ramon (c) when the 123 Kid hit Razor with a roundhouse kick from the top rope (for the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship)

4. Bret "Hitman" Hart (c) and the Undertaker fought to a no contest when Diesel attacked the Undertaker then Hart attacked Diesel.  Eventually Hart and the Undertaker cleared Diesel from the ring

5. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels won the 1996 Royal Rumble.  Diesel had just eliminated Razor Ramon then he turned around and was superkicked over the top rope by Michaels.

 

AFTERMATH:

1. Owen Hart and the British Bulldog formed a tag team as Owen claimed that he found a much better partner than Yokozuna.

2. On a TV taping, Jim Cornette took exception to Yokozuna deserting his stable so he had Vader attack Yokozuna
